while you did not actually mention race at all, your quote does have potential racial implications, and as such can suggest ignorance or prejudice?

Its a lot more than that! its keeping your gun in a safe and controlled manner, only aiming at something that you are willing to shoot at,being aware of what you might hit if you either miss,or the projectile passes through the target with enough residual energy to cause damage.
Nothing wrong with using one hand, hitting an appropriate target is far more important than style........

I totally missed Gasheads comment, which I think is hilarious!

Pretty sure it was meant as a joke

Bob ya make a good point about the road, and turning back, but is more firepower a real solution? Will it work, in some cases yes, in some no.

Its like throwing more food at a fat guy when your trying to get him slim!

And as for us up here, who knows if it will work or not. A person can think its kinda working now and thats great, but what goes up must come down, eventually.

Maybe the real solution is to make everyone get their iq tested before they have kids lol.

An IQ test to breed? Can we put one on voting and driver's licenses too?

> how does the gov. successfully put a slow down on bad guys getting/using guns for crime

You can't. In Britain where it is illegal for anyone to own a hand gun, someone shot an Obama supporter (because of his tee shirt) 3 times with a compressed air zip gun and ball bearings.

Throwing them in prison (nimby) and killing them will stop them from committing crimes. Just like something should have been done a long time ago with that 76 year old woman just arrested for her 73rd crime.

I'm against any form of gun control.

Taking guns from felons is just the tip of the iceberg. First it establishes a precedent that the government can take away your guns.

But more subversive is the manner in which gun control advocates have managed to frame the issue of gun control in the context of crime and justice. The right to bear arms is not just for you to protect your family and your property. it's there as a guarantee that the government will not intrude on any other rights protected by the constitution.

An armed citizenry is much more than law enforcement. It is the ultimate check on government power.

AM i reading this right? Do you think that Felons should be able to own guns?
IF this is your belief,do we need laws or prisons either?

Yes. The constitution protects the right to bear arms. If it is the government's intent to void the constitution, then I would rather they got rid of prisons as well.

I think the men who wrote the constitution did a very wise thing when they guaranteed every man the right to bear arms. Because what they did is establish the people as a force unto themselve. A nation that could rein in their own government if necessary.

Today's leaders want us to believe that gun control will protect us from criminals. But it is the politicians who are the criminals. And allowing them to disarm the public will undo that balance.

Doesnt the constitution also provide for the safety of the citizenry,by allowing us to determine that there are those individuals who are a danger to the common good.
There are things that cause one to lose his rights, and saying that violent convicted felons should be able to own guns is like saying that pedophiles should be able to work in schools......
are you also implying that politicians are the only criminals, that those who rape, rob and murder should be afforded the exact same rights as those who choose to live within our laws?

Living in a very rural area in a county the size of some states....with a small force of deputies patrolling it? You think I am going to trust the time it takes from call to getting here to stop anything?

Nope.

And they would be the first ones to tell you they can't physically be here "in time" to stop anything. They will be the first to tell you to keep a shotgun, rifle or a handgun handy if needed!

Now, if you live in a city or a place where having a firearm is not allowed....there is always this "Medieval Defense" tool"
