2009 4X4 systems

Does the '09 F-150 and the current gen Expy share the same 4WD system?

If not, what are thier differences?

Is the Expy as surefooted as the F-150?

Thanks

Tim

I'm pretty sure the 4wd system on the 09 F150 is the same as the 04-08. And I would expect the current Expy to be as sure footed as the F150. Our 04 Expy, with good tires, was great. I especially liked the AWD selection on the Expy and wish the F150 had that feature. It actually worked very well.

There have been minor changed to the 4X4 sytem, but it's more or less the same as current model. The F-150 and Expy now share the same 4X4 system (the Eexpy was the first with it). The only real change was the drive shaft from the TC and half shafts from the front axel.
