Pull to start

I have a 94 F350 4X4 with a 460 and 5 speed. It will not start unless you pull start it or shoot starting fluid into the intake. The starter works fine and it cranks over normally. It will crank until the battery goes dead and never fire, but pull it 100 feet and it starts up. I have replaced the fuel pump in the tank, cap, rotor, ignition switch box under the column and nothing helps. Any ideas? Thanks.

Several vacuum leaks, or one large one? Just to much of a loss to over come with the starter motor, pulling it creates enough vacuum to start?

Starter draws to many amps? nothing left to fire the plugs?

Thanks for all the ideas. It turned out to be the throttle position sensor. With a new TPS on it it fires right up.

Thanks again, Tom
