C6 Question

Hi, I am getting different opinions from the "pro's" on my problem, so I came to the experts.

Does a C6 auto make a burning clutch smell when it's bands or clutches are slipping or about to fail? Is it possible for smoke to come from the tranny.

Cheers

I've had a few burn up and never smelled nothing-the fluid will smell burned-the only thing that comes to my mind would be brakes dragging!

The burning clutch would be from the brakes, the fluid will smell like burned oil if the clutchs are slipping inside it. The C-6 clutchs are constantly bathed in oil unless the tranny has gone dry or the pump quite, then you will get that burned clutch smell and not move in any gear due to loss of friction.
