anyone know if there is a filter in the cab to change? my problem starts if the ac is off and its just on cool+vent, it blows a wet rag smell into my cab. any ideas? plus the occasional leaf out of the defrost is a pita.. thanks guys for any info
No filter might be able to pull the black cover off in the engine bay that gets in the way of pullin the passenger valve cover and spray some lysole in there with the blower on. That should kill anything that might be growing in you system
thanks mule, thats probably what im thinking of. anyone else have this problem? i think i should of cleared this up earlier. it only happens when i have the air on and THEN i turn it off and put the vent on and cool setting. anyway of makin her smell good? thanks fellas
Hey here is one............I couldn't get my temp **** to turn to hot........messed around and after ford said they couldn't do anything.....I found out the mouse had filled my box up with dog food........go figure, you should have seen all the dog food I got out of there.........so now any time I go out in the woods for any length of time........I put the cat in the cab overnight everytime I come home. no problems since.
i had the hose fall off on the CCV and the smoke would blow into the cab and stick it up. start the truck and look for exhaust or any kind of smoke that the blower could be blowing into the cab.
My .02 cents

the drain hose should be a big black flexable hose with a pinched cut off tip if i remember right comming from the firewall. i would make sure that is cleaned out and run a hoes threw your cowl to wash any big stuff out and then mix up a few gallons of 10-1 bleach and watter and dump that down the cowl
^^broncoII^^ is correct. The drain is located under the cab on the passenger side
directly under the HVAC box.
You should see condensate (water) coming from it on hot humid days with the AC on.
Be careful how much you flush through it, you made be renamed 'Noah' LOL
For the best results follow all the other recommendations for cleaning the cowl
and HVAC box suggested above too. Pull the blower motor to clean out what you see.
Clean off the cowl top (plastic pieces around the wiper pivots) they collect leaves and stuff.
If it's dirty enough down there you may need to remove the cowl top to
expose the cowl drains underneath that may be plugged.
