Dissppointed with the site

Boy anymore this site leaves alot to be desired. Its sure not as active as it used to be. Ive posted threads several times here an no response whatsoever. I was over on the new car forum an asked about rebates an incentives an no response whatasover. Can you imagine that with this huge forum an not one reply to a simple question. An Ford wonders why sales are down. I would think this forum would be a great place to let us buyers know whats going on. I tell you what Ive been on this site quite awhile an this is the worse its ever been. If you ask a question on here dont expect to get an answer. Whereas it used to be there were plenty off replies. Sorry for venting Im just not happy with this site any more.

FTE usedd to have 2 very active salesmen who would answer questions in the new car forum, Sadly, today there are none.

don't be dissapointed with the entire site because a small area is lacking in activity

Trouble is theres quite a few forums that are pretty slow. I still cant figure out why the new car forum is not so active. For a salesman that would be a great way to increase sales through this site. I still cant figure it out. This is a big site thats seen by a lot off people. Somebody is not using there head.

Maybe Ford Motor Company's website would have the info.

I know where you are coming from,don't get me wrong I love this site but it has been a little slower then it has in past years and unless you are in a click with some of the other users there is not much going on.Sometimes I think it's just me when there is a bunch of posting going on and then I post something and everybody stops posting and moves on to something else,do I Offend LOL

Maybe it's your user title Glenn!

FTE has changed over time. The So Cal Chapter was a ghost town until we got a new Chapter Leader earlier this year. It really depends who is on the board at a given time.

Some topics grab peoples attention and some just don't.

Pardon me if this is obvious to you, but this comment made me wonder if you know, that this site is not owned by Ford and they don't use it to promote their business.

People aren't buying new cars as rapidly as they were a few years ago.

How does the activity on a non-Ford-owned website have anything to do with the company's sales?

People come and go. People sell their old Ford truck and don't come around as much, or get a different Ford truck and switch to another section of the forum. I will definitely agree with you that there are a lot of people I enjoyed talking with that don't come around anymore. But there are definitely a lot of cool people that are still here or have joined recently. I'm pretty active in the 73-79 board and it's always busy. And in the sub-forums I participate in, like fuel systems, and electrical...very, very rarely does a question go unanswered. And those are important forums. And even better, in the rare instances where no one can help, someone is at least nice enough to direct the person to a resource that can help.

I think FTE is one of the best online communities out there; you will have a hard time finding a website with nicer people, better resources, and a kinder staff. Long live FTE.

Everybody is just busy,,, Probably hunting and squeezing in one last camping trip, or picnic before bad weather sets in. Don't worry, they'll all be back as soon as the weather turns!!

Yesterday, Life Was Such An Easy Game To Play... NOT!

I haven't really had an opportunity to use this site, but have dealt with others. I'm just damn glad they even exist. As far as I'm concerned, far too often the internet has enabled too many people to simply ask a question - rather than figure it out for themselves.

Sure, it's great to get a reply. Absolutely, it can be a lifesaver - or a knuckle-saver. But, this site is only one more tool in your arsenal, as far as I'm concerned. I'll be last to bite the proverbial hand. I appreciate all that is available.

Sure, it can be frustrating when you really, really, really, want an answer for your predicament. But you might also consider that plenty of people have more to be concerned about, rather than their projects, toys, or loves.

Such as;

The economy (the worst in eight decades)

Which leads to;

Mortgages (do you have an adjustable rate?)

Jobs (is everyone secure?)

Retirement Portfolios (sure it will rebound)

I can understand why it may seem like this site is slower these days...

... just as I can understand why sedatives are becoming the #1 prescribed medication in America.

Personally, I'm happy I still have an internet connection...

Activity ebbs and flows through the year. I think its simply where you are viewing... I see a GOOD amount of activity in the forums I frequent here.

It might be slow because it’s hunting season and there are no cell phones, pagers or computers allowed on the mountain during hunting season.
FTE is still the best! I have learned to fix more trucks issues here than I did in school. Thanks FTE
