factory radio no LCD display

87 F150 factory am fm tape radio the LCD display won't light up. have no idea what station i'm listening to.. loose wire or is it common problem ? had a mustang same thing i replaced that radio. but scrapped for cash now .

After 21 years, I would just lean toward just being old and burned out.
