I agree! Torque is king. It's what your butt feels in the seat.
Simply put: HP is nothing more than a mathematical number that is derived from torque....
the only thing a dyno can measure. Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5252

I've never been on a dyno or a drag strip. I measured my truck with an accelerometer.
It came with my Autoenginuity scan software...called Speedtracer. I can't find it right now but IIRC it was
550 TQ and 320 HP. BTW: It ran 16.20 @ 80MPH 1/4 mile....Gotta love electronics

My last dyno run was 256.6HP and 400.4TQ.

Agreed.....I have a slightly different view though

Hp is how fast you hit the wall....TQ is how far you push the wall after you hit it

Ringer 97 was asking the same thing. Here was my reply:

I haven't been on a dyno yet but it makes plenty. I might put that in my sig...

Dyno results:
HP-Plenty
Tq-More Plenty

And it works VERY well together. I believe this is an awesome setup. I built it for pulling but haven't hooked to anything too heavy yet. I will in another week though. Very streetable and fun to drive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind I still have stock fuel and just a 17*pump. CEL will come on every now and then due to low oil. It is very fun to drive but I believe top end is a little laggy if that is even relative. Kinda hard to justify 180cc sticks and H2e is laggy huh?
I have never been on a dyno. With a stick do I run it thru all the gears like I stole it or just a few gears? Or like I was was on a strip, launch in second, etc?
I am still playing with the overboost annihilator to get the map right and I have yet to "run it like I stole it". Well maybe once but I ran out of road.

No harm Ron. Even if it were mine saying I wouldn't care! I have a hard time remembering who I tell stories sometimes so they end up hearing them one and half times!

i can't remember my torque #'s exactly, but here is a laugh for everyone!

hp-204
torque- 376???

truck was hurtin' pretty bad with a busted clutch and break pedal bracket, but i think my engine is just dog tired and needs a deep pocket to bring it back to where it needs to be

mods on the truck were--- edge evolution, 10k, intake, stock dp to 5" stacks, and 120v IDM. truck should have produced better #'s than it did, but it does have 270,000 miles on it now soo i guess we will see what it does next year with a lot more fuel...
