I currently have a metal tank 7.3. From everything I heard, it's best to get the metal. But if I didn't have a cooler already, I'd get a 6.0 for sure.

I just talked to Jim today. He said he just got in all his big nozzles he's been waiting for. Your gonna love those big sticks. But I'm like you, I don't have my cooler in this new truck yet, and my EGT's are outta control. Jody reburned my chip and it helped alot. But it still gets hot.

IF it was you would you go with the 6.0 even though plastic? Much difference in difficulty making pipes and mounting btw the 6.0 and 7.3?

Yes, it's more efficient at cooling, and it will hold more boost from what I hear.

You can get the boots from Intakehoses.com for a good price. Are you going to make your own pipes or buy a set. That is a pretty good average going price for one so I wouldnt scared to buy it. Not to burst your bubble or anything but I picked mine up for 76 + shipping with pipes, boots, and clamps.

That's where I got my 6.0 IC from. $56.00 shipped, but that was like 3 years ago. At the time they had both styles of 7.3's (metal or plastic ends) and the 6.0. I went with the 6.0 because it has a larger core. It's been at 45 psi numerous times with no problems. I used a GTS kit designed for a 7.3 and it worked on the 6.0 like it was made for it.

Check with the seller and see if they have any pipes laying around. When I got mine there were a bunch of us from TDS who all got them at the same time and one guy asked about pipes and they sent him several sets for free, he just had to pay the additional shipping charges. They sent him 2 or 3 sets of pipes along with all the boots and clamps.

I sent a message seeing if they had any extra parts. Is there any/much difference in the amount of moding needed on the pipes from a 7.3 or 6.0 so they fit our trucks?

He said he'd send the pipes for an extra $10. Do I want ones from a 7.3L or 6.0L
What size are the boots that I will need?
