Fram filters have had a bad reputation in the past. I don't know how good their products are now.

For what it's worth, I use Purolator Pure One filters. At one time they were the 'best', i.e. finest filtering ability. They used to be a pretty metallic blue color, but the new ones are yellow-gold with a really nice grippy texture.
$5 off a filter isn't worth my engine. Not saying a Fram filter will cause some kind of failure and I'm sure the Frams will work, but I don't mind spending money on good filters. I also only run syn fluids -- every vehicle I've owned reacted positively to them, so I'll stick with it.
I've been using Fram for a year or so......with no issue...I was unaware that they were of a poor quality........soooooooooooooo.......what do you guys recomend?.....
