tapping into boost gauge

tapping into boost gauge

where do u tap into to get vacum for the boost gauge ?

The most stable air flow is in the intake elbow.

Some boost gauges register vacuum. However most people tap the intake elbow right in front of the EGR valve.

Aren't those called vacuum gauges?

well diesels dont have vacum , only boost(positive pressure),vacum is only on gasers, thats why our trucks use vacum pumps for ESOF and other little dodads. so installing a vac/boost gauge its a waist, unless you just happen to have one laying around. if you buying one just get plain boost gauge...

yeah i figured if i said vacumm u guys would know what i was talkin about thanks guys i tap into it there and it works great
