So I've been looking for a fuel pressure guage setup since I seen a pic of Brandons (Bdrummonds) in another thread. Problem is that I cant find a liquid filled guage in 2 1/16. They are all either electric or no liquid. This is the mount I would like to use if possible: The isspro r7602 Universal Gauge Mounts at DieselManor
Is anyone using and electric guage? And how acurate are they?
Anyone using an isolator and does it work ok?
Brandon, that would be a cool looking guage on the cowl but would probably have to use homemade bracket, which is ok. I'm trying to figure out the best overall price, cool effect and clean install as possible. I think that cowl mounted with some low light illumination at night would be the best "cool effect" but would have to go electric, and that brings the question of how it would hold up in the weather.
Curtis, do you get any vibration of the needle? And I'm assuming that its mounted inside the cab?
Zero vibration at the needle. I used to have a liquid filled gauge under the hood, and when I swapped to the DiPricol it showed the same pressure as the old one.
No, the isolator mounts directly to the fuel source, and you just plug an electrical harness into the isolator. You can get an adapter and mount the isolator to the back of the stock fuel bowl. I already did the regulated return on my truck, so I just put the isolator on the regulator itself since it was a direct bolt on.
I had installed 3 gauges. 2 from Summit and 1 from ITP and both of them failed after a while. Supposedly it is pretty hard on them in the engine compartment. Anyone have a gauge that held for a long period of time and how long?
I used an old-school gauge cup from another project. if you are careful it will clear the hood, wiper and still have a good viewing angle. I did not have to drill any holes or cut anything to mount it.
The autometer gauge worked fine for many years until I used it on this diesel. now it's junk.
I used to use it with a mechanical isolator but never got it to work properly, and I'm pretty f'n persistent. Waste of $100. Should have got a electrical gauge in the first place.
now that I have fixed my fuel problems I don't need the incorrectly reading gauge, but can you ever have too many guages? it looks cool anyway.

My marshall guage rode under my hood(on a bracket off of the alt.) for a year, and has now been on the outside for a year, and it is still fine. Y'all have all seen pics so I wont repost, if you do want to see my setup its in my gallery.
