Question about boost pressure.

I just finished my gauge install today (Dipricol Optix) and was wondering if 17 psi @ wot is ballpark. I plan on installing new boots when I do my foil delete and paint my pipes. Just wondering how far off i maybe and if I need to do the boots sooner. I had alot better fuel mileage before the guages but i usually don't speed everywhere to see if my gauges work. thanks

Without a tuner, that's about right. Could be a tad higher so check the boots.

Thats not bad without a tuner/chip. Keep doing what you are doing. Take it one step at a time. Keep adding mods, and you will hit more boost.

You think you don't have MPG right now. When you get the DP, you will not be able to help yourself.

I have an early turd (smaller turbo), 6637 intake and 4" turbo back duals and can hit 22 PSI WOT empty. Towing I've hit up to 28 pulling a grade. Maybe it's my small, puny early turd turbo but I seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

I can only occassionly hit 15 lbs WOT but I got the Edge Evo and that I am told isn't a real gauge.

Gary, I hope your getting that reading just because the gauge is a POS, its either that or your leaking somewhere..

I get about 18-19 max with the red line unplugged in stock. I wouldn't worry about 17. Once you get tunes and start hitting 26-28, you'll know you're okay.

Bone stock I only saw a max 18 psi, so 17 is right in the normal range.
