Ecm programing???
i just got a new ecm for my 02 f250 v10. it isn't firing the injectors. does anyone know if you have have to have the ecm programed after installed? it doesn't have a chipped key but someone told me the ecm had to be programed to the key. the ford dealership by me is no help. any information is greatly appreciated.

New and reman ECMs need to be programmed. Junk yard and otherwise used ECMs usually have the original program in them and should run similar engines/drivelines. If it's initialized you might be able to dump a semi-custom tune into it, otherwise you need to have the deal upload your calibration.
(If you have an interface, motorcraft offers a 3 day trial for about $15 that should have the flash program and as built data you need.)
