front end issues

well, I paid $20 for the online haynes manual to figure out how the hub assembly goes together. Today was a waste of time. I broke 2 breaker bars trying to get the nut off the top and bottom ball joints, and they still didn't budge. I've been soaking them with PB Blaster for the last 5 hours, but I'm still gonna take it to the shop to have them installed. I've already wasted alot of time workin on it and gettin nowhere so I'm handing it off to a paid mechanic. I did notice my hubs are SHOT! Anyone know where I can get a decent set of hubs that won't break my bank?

Do you have a impact gun? I just rebuild the front end in my truck a few months back and i had to use a impact gun to get the nut off. I was quoted $1600 by the shop and i ended up doing it myself for $600.

Here is a thought, if you are replacing ball joints and having an alignment done you might want to think about a adjustable camber kit while your at I... I know because I have two of them sitting on the work bench in front of me along with the ball joints that Im going to replace.. DONT BUY CHEAP BALLJOINTS, you get what you pay for.. I only use MOOG... camber kit part number K80108..
