I can grab my drag link and twist it side to side without much effort. I have a slight wobble at 65mph, already replaced the Steering dampner with a bilstein shock and my front tires are brand new, just had them balanced and the pressure is dead on 75psi in both tires. The Track bar bushings are solid, the ball joints are factory with 80k miles. I think the problem is the drag link and outer drag link Tie rod. I was going to go ahead and replace the lower ball joints with the XRF ball joints and replace the drag link together at the same time anyway.
XRF Shows a part number of DS300040 for a 4wd (Not fatboy axle) and ES00778 for the front left outer tie rod end that attaches to the drag link. XRF's dealer doesn't seem to carry these parts... does anyone else have them?
I had to call. They don't offer a kit for the newer super dutys yet. I have 80k on the truck already. definitely time for some tie rod ends. I'd imagine most don't need it yet.
Couple reasons. First, the motorcraft parts are double the price. XRF Components have excellent reviews and a solid track record with balljoints, I was willing to give them a shot. If it came down to Moog or motorcraft, I would have paid the extra for the motorcraft.
