205 F250 SD - 38K miles time to replace the original tires. I don't want to oversize or add lift, just want to replace with stock tires. Can I go with a standard LT truck tire ( Michelin M/S ) or do I need some heavier truck tire. Any recommendations, little to no off road driving, use mostly to pull camper.
If you do any towing, go with an E rated tire. Its just not worth it to cut corners and chance an accident. I just looked quickly and the Michelin M/S is available in an E load rating depending on your wheel size.
I would go to an "E" rated tire even if you don't tow. Several times I have seen reports on this forum of people who have bought non-E rated tires and ran into handling problems because the sidewalls were not stiff enough. I am making the assumption you have the 17" rims. Here are a couple of my favorites:
I have the BFG's as posted ^^, I love them and have had them on both of my 6.0's They handle great in all weather conditions up here. They are quiet. The only draw back to them is that they need to be rotated every oil change or they will wear out quick. I had them on my 03 F-250 and moved them to my 04 F-350, I had abot 45,000 on them all together and they still had tons of tread left.
