I just wanted to let everyone know that I no longer have my F250. After having some issues that the dealer could not figure out, I decided to trade my truck in for a 2008 F150. I have learned a lot from everyone on here and would like to thanks everyone. I will still be looking here to talk to friends I have met and to give any advice I can offer.
I'm not sure if there are other issues involved. Congrats on the new truck Bryan. It's a shame poor dealer service drove you to the F150 but at least you stayed in the family. Hope you're happy with the new ride and you got a good deal. You're always welcome here.
I have a landscaping business on the side which is why I originally had the 250. I'm getting out of that business at the end of this season so I really didn't need to fork out the extra money on a Super Duty again. I got a 2008 F150 5.4l, Crew Cab, 4x4, tow mirrors. So far I really like it, even though I really do miss the 250. Plus, with the cost of diesel these days, I decided I would turn back to a 150 (this is the third one I've owned...... '96, '06, '08). The tech there said he didn't know what was wrong with the truck; which scared me because he has a very good rep in my area. Plus, I was at 70,000 miles and didn't really want to risk having future problems with only a small amount left on my warranty. The truck was soon needed brakes, clutch, and tires. I also had a crack the length of my entire windshield, a cracked mirror lens, and a dent on the side of the bed. I figured with the cost of all those things, I'd might as well get a new truck. Plus, the new truck is an automatic which is really nice to have in the 2nd worst traffic in the U.S.
