My truck (2006 F250 w/ manual tranny) is having some issue.......it shakes/hesitates (don't know what word to use) when accelerating. It seems to do it around 1500-2000 RPM's. Instead of the RPM's going up smoothly, they jump up in little bursts. It doesn't seem to have a lack of power, and when it starts doing it, I can give it more throttle and it will stop. Also, it's really bad when I first start the truck and it hasn't warmed up yet. At first it would only do it when it wasn't warmed up or going up a hill, but now it does it pretty much all the time. At first I thought it was a tranny issue b/c it started doing it right after I changed the tranny fluid (also did fuel filters and oil). I ended up changing it again to see if that would correct the problem, but it didn't. I also thought it could be the clutch, but I don't think it is anymore. Possibly EGR sticking? What do you guys think?
sounds like a skip. a straight drive can load a engine up more than a automatic. go to your dealer, and see if they can rd test with you to find out if it is a actual skip.

Wouldn't a dealer get pissy b/c I have a straight pipe exhuast?

its possible but why did the straight pipe cause the injector to fail? um it didnt and if they say it did find a new dealer.

the dealer can only justify replacing the parts that are bad/failing. ford has REALLY tightned up on warranty money. we are getting hit with atleast 2500 a month in chargebacks because ford says we are overrepairing.
I wonder if Hot Shots Secret would be a worthwhile expense on this?|
snake oil doesnt FIX a truck, never has never will. snake oil only hides the true issue. i dont care if it is hot shot or hot sh-t, it only hides the truth.
