Okay, so I made a real bonehead move and managed to glue my rearview mirror base to windshield upside down I even looked at the *&%#* thing twice to avoid this and still screwed it up. Anyone know of a good method to remove the thing short of busting the windshield? (which crossed my mind when I realized what I had done..lol) Surely I'm not the only person that's had a brain fart like this.
Even if the base has fallen off, there is usually some glue residue left on the inside of the windshield, so what I do is trace that on the outside of the windshield with a Sharpie marker before I thoroughly clean the inside of the windshield. That helps with the orientation, as the bases are usually wedge-shaped.
