99 E350 windshield RearView mirror removal

I have a 99 Minnie Winnie. The rearview mirror is useless and I want to install a monitor for a rearview camera. Problem is I can't seem to get the mirror off the base that is glued to the windshield. No allen screw.

I think that some of them just slide in from the top. You might try to gently tap it upwards.

They do slide in from the top, But there should be a screw there. But do you plan on using the button for the camera screen? The button may not be compatable for it.

Thanks, but I can't move it.
No I do not plan to mount the monitor to the windshield. The mirror is in way and is useless anyway in a motor home.

Well, I'm at work now. Checked the Burco Mirror book, it should come off in a downward direction, The #1023 mirror button is glued on, it should come off with SOME force.

Thanks for the effort. I did manage to remove the mirror today. I had to insert a small flat screwdriver from the bottom up twist, pry and tap up on the mirror base. It was a struggle but finally came off. I now have the monitor mounted.
