Shifting Problems
I have a 1996 F250 Diesel that has started to develop a shifting problem. My truck wants to shift in and out of OD all the time, this happens at highway speeds. What is really odd is that it kicks into OD when I accelerate. Any ideas? Thanks

It is probably a sensor. The pedal position (also called throttle position) sensor, the vehicle speed sensor, or my favorite culprit, the transmission range sensor. Any or all of those have been known to cause your symptoms.
Has the OD light flashed? That will indicate a problem. Maybe I should have first asked if the OD light works?
