auto headlights on all the time

My auto lights think it is night all the time. I was wondering if anyone had ever changed out the sensor on the dash or if something else causes the issue.

If there is nothing over the sensor then you might have a faulty one. I don't know how to change it but someone will post shortly on that.

LOL! For quite a while I figured that was all it was, but finally clean my file cabinet off my dash and the lights wont shut off automatically.

when you go to the dealer, ask for a photocell sensor... light sensor doesn't exist, neither does an ambient light sensor... or at least my dealer had no clue

Your welcome Marc. I'm trying to save it to CD. Just in case they ever shut it down.

Is this a "subscription sight"? It sure would be nice to be able to check out what they have on file for my 96 Taurus.

So far it is free, but like Jim said who knows how long it will remain this way as I cant imagine it is suppose to be available, but who knows. As far as your taurus goes I have no idea.

I hate to dredge up such an old thread, but I'm having the same issue as the OP and the resource posted is no longer available...
