Rough On Start Up

I started my 95 F250 up yesterday and it started just fine. After a few seconds though it started running real rough, thought it was going to stall right out, it stayed like this for about a minute, and then like someone fliped a switch it started running normal again. I thought it could have been a little water in the fuel or something but the water in fuel light never came on, only the check engine light came on while it ran rough and then went out when it started running normal again. I would not have worried to much about it but the very next time I stated it up it did the same thing. The way it does this make me wonder if there is a timer in the start up process and during the start up time it is doing something that is causing this. Any ideas?

Could possibly be the CPS. Has it died on you lately?

Well I found a small fuel leak from the bottom of the fuel pump. That would explain my poor fuel milage. Going to replace the pump today and hope that works. Just seems like it would always run bad if this were the cause, but it ran great after a minute or so.

I changed the CPS a year or so ago. I think it is still good. It has not died just runs rough like it is not running on all 8.

Whats the ICP sensor?

wiring under the valve cover

Check the wiring under the valve cover. Mine 95 did the same thing and it was burnt wires.

Look at the photo onmy blog. Willbd: Powerstroke valve cover wiring issue
