Front driveshaft.....which model

I have a 77 F150 with 400 and C4 tranny. Anyone know the model number for my front driveshaft. Mine needs replaced and it would help to know what to get. I'm sure someone has switched one out.. any helpful hints?

Why not rebuild your old driveshaft? Im sure it would be a bit cheaper.

Have you done this, I am fairly mechanically inclined. I just don't have a ton of "special tools". Is this a job thats fairly easy to do?

No i havent personally done it, i took mine to a driveline shop that way it could be balanced also.

What is wrong with the driveshaft that requires replacement? If it is only the u-joints that need replacement then you should be able to replace them rather easily. If the splines are worn or the shaft is bent then have one manufactured by a driveshaft shop. Tom Woods (www.4xshaft.com) is a good choice for custom or hard to find stock driveshafts.
