I didn't think anyone ever failed Az diesel emissions. Mine has been tested there every Dec for the last 7 years and it always passed. What station do you go to? I usualy went to 40th St and Bell but 1 time I went to the one on Dunlap in Sunnyslope and they didn't test it because they didn't like the way it sounded at WOT. A Directors Certificate is what they issue if they cant test it and that's all you need to go with the registration. 4% is the most I ever got and thats with injectors and the chip turned up. There's another station over on Bell just before Grand and I've been there a dozen or so time with some raggedy old mixers and end dumps and they always passed.

Yea, I think I had that pass for me done once, but I am going to see if they will just issue me an idle test and I'll bitch about how I don't want a blown motor, otherwise I'm just going to baby it reving it up. Efing tree huggers, when will they realize my diesel is still cleaner than most cars!! ARGH!!
leave the map on the hot side, it reduces lag which in turn will keep you fueling at the proper time to also yield better fuel efficiency in the cylinders. diesel kleen is mostly kerosene anyway so i still say throw some kero in there and bitch about not wanting your 200 thousand mile motor hitting the red-line unless they are willing to fork out the $12k it costs to purchase a new drop in motor............
Hmmmm, My neighbor, (Auburn Cali) told me yesterday that his new 350 that has dual turbo's will need to be smogged when the time comes. I think it is the new 6.5 diesel.
Well the emissions guy was talking to me and I wasn't paying much attention so I was punching it (kinda like when you want it to smoke) so I think that was a huge part of it. I'll be easy on the pedal this time, and I did run a big thing of diesel Kleen through it now, so we shall see...
Well, I want to thank everyone for their help and input. Just wanted to let you know how much of a scam emissions really is after this ordeal. I found last years record for my opacity, it was 14%. The allowed limit is 40%, and I failed with 52%. All I did was change my air filter from a K&N drop in to the 6637, moved my MAP sensor back to original (which was not done when I got 14%) and put the regular amount of diesel kleen in that normally run, and my score was a big fat 0%. I did ease into full throttle this time, but seriously, this shows that their test sucks *****!!!
