Paint scheme?
I think I've decided to do an army surplus scheme on my truck. I'm going to get some olive drab paint and do the whole truck in that. My question is in the details. Where do I put the white star, and what about the flat black markings I seem to see on the sides(probably to desginate unit id or somethhing of that sort)? Does anyone have some sites I could visit to pick up ideas and look at pictures of light duty miltiary vehicles. I want this to look genuine, not like some cheap imitation. I saw an old GMC in a Petersons and it gave me the idea for it. He had a 70(i think) GMC in olive drab w/ black bumpers and a small white star on the side. It also had "US tatical off road team" or something to that sort written on the side in flat black letters. It looked really cool and I want to do something similar to my truck. Thanks.
