Just got an idea today but wanted some input first. On my 2000 F-350 diesel I got wat looks to be a rod with threads on my wastegate on the turbo. Is there a way I can turn it or adjust it to get my truck some more boost?
Even though it looks like you're in the wrong forum, I assume you can adjust 95 too. It won't produce more boost, just make it harder to blow off, which in turn puts more stress on your turbo leading to a premature failure. But yes it will hold more boost.
It won't spool any faster, you wont hit 10lbs quicker. All it will do is make the wastegate harder to open, which yes you could achieve 30 lbs., but thats hard on the turbo itself and reduces its life. Also, you wont be able to hit 30lbs without a boost fooler of some kind of the MAP sensor
If you use some baling wire and wire it shut, it will biuld more booooost. There are many users that have their wastegate unhooked. More will chime in with their thoughts.

You can tighten the factory rod, you have to remove it and drill out where it is crimped. Tighten it up about three turns and try that. You will see quicker boost, as the factory settings like to bleed open at 5-8 psi.

Yes it will hold more boost, it will also build boost quicker in 70% of trucks its done to.
The stock turbo will last forever at 25-28psi, I have seen many at 30-32 last 100k or better. I have a stocker with a 1.00 housing that I have run to 35-38 psi and its still tight as a drum. Would I run it there every day, no, but it will not blow up the first time you hit 25.25488650psi...
i unhooked mine and it boosts a lil faster now and i went from 22 maybe 23 psi up to 27 28 psi range. i thought that was impressive. and if the turbe goes oh darn i will have to get a bigger one.
just un plug the red line going to the booster on the turbo and plug the red line on a IC boot clamp stud so it will plug it up..or just put a bolt in there...give her a few runs..if you like what you see..then adjust the rod and put the red line back on... if you still have the stock wheel in the turbo.. tightning the wast gate you will get turbo surge quite easy..
