94' 6.9l lower plenum
ive been workin on this truck and was putting the intake back on when i heard a snap
the lower intake or plenum had snapped off in the front corner, there are a few junkyards around my area that have trucks with my engine same year that i can ****** the part off of,
right now i have the intake/exhaust loose from the head, some braket is giving me a hard time something to do with the emissions i guess, i have most of the bolts out but i cant see the light at the end of the tunnel.
also the thermostat housing cracked when i was tightening it, i dont think i was over tightening it at all. either way i would like some input or advice that could help me in anyway,

The manifolds on these engines tend to warp because of the high heat they experience being both on the same side of the head so if you took them off after you had just run the engine up to op-temp you're probably going to need to get them machined.
As for the thermostat i went through three housings before my uncle showed me the trick. Put the thermostat in the housing and tack it in with a couple drops silicone sealant that keeps it from shifting because it will fall out of the groove when you go to bolt it up and you won't know until you break the lower tab off torquing it down.
For any other specific 4.9 questions come on over the 4.9/300 forum there are lots of knowledgeable folks over there that are happy to help you out.
