06 F150

Does anyone know if Ford offerd trucks this year with a towing package but hitch?

my '06 has tow pkg. with receicer but, no but hitch. I did have a but head run into my trailer ball; it makes a good jap raidator drain

I had a lady slam into the back of my 84 Bronco with a Chevy Malibu... well my hitch/ball made quite a nice radiator drain....

To answer OP question.. Yes Ford offered a Tow Package on '06 F-150's quite a nice one if you ask me!

No sure what a "But" hitch is?

cwj06, not sure how to tell if that '06 has tow pkg. might check for oil cooler & trans cooler or possible VIN code(from dealer). Someone could have removed the " but hitch "

I think that he is asking if maybe it just has the hitch and not the tow package upgrade, not sure ??

my 06 came with the tow and go package and yes it has a factory hitch

04-08 F-150 came 3 ways.

1. With Tow Package

Class IV Reciever
A 4 pin and 7 pin wiring harness
Upgraded Trans Cooler
8,000 to 10,000 lb capacity depending on wheelbase and motor/tire combo

2. Reciever

Only a Class III reciever I believe, nothing else
Limited to 5,000 lbs capacity

3. No Reciever

just a empty bumper

Are you asking if it comes with a hitch/ball combo? If so then mine did not come with one. I bought a tri ball from Walmart.

I had a nice man ram the back of my stopped '06 F150 with a maxima. my hitch not only made a nice radiator drain it made a solid front end compactor.

I have the 144 inch wheel base 06 F150 and mine came with the hitch and trans cooler... I tow a good bit with my truck.

You can't remove just the hitch.. The bumper bolts to the factory hitch..

I guess you could and install whatever is used in the non-factory hitch model...

Although, if you had a factory "but hitch" maybe some baby powder would help remove it..
