I removed the engine today, ran into some problems but nothing too major until now. I have the engine on my lift, it wouldn't fit on the engine stand with the clutch still on so i removed it, now the fly wheel is in the way. There are 6 bolts, i think, holding the flywheel on. How do i crack these things loose, the motor spins everytime i reef on them. I'm stuck because the engine is just hanging until i get this off. If you have any suggestions please help.
One more question, i noticed a groove mark on the fly wheel, what is this for? I don't see another mark on anything else.
I usually take a breaker bar and socket put it on the bolt and smack it with the palm of my right hand and that cracks them loose. Without seeing the groove I have no idea what your looking at. Kotzy
One more thing I forgot to mention and this works for more things then just flwheel bolts.
Put the bolt very close to top or bottem center and the wrench 90 degrees to it, your not putting force in the roational path the fastner takes. That makes things a lot easier. kotzy
