E4od ??

How do I tell the difference between gas and diesel E4ODs or are they the same transmission? I have a 91 diesel and found a good used trans. I know up to 96 will work but the later ones require the newer solenoid pack pigtail.

Different ratios and bolt pattern. Not sure about ID tags, but the bell pattern would be the most obvious.

Same ratios and different bolt patterns. There was only one set of ratios for all E4ODs.
