need help asap

guys, I have limited internet access. My truck won't go over 55 mph and it feels like it is defueling when you floor it. Put it to the floor and alot of blueish white smoke pours out. HPOP??? If you try to accelerate hard it won't shift and stays at about 2300 rpm. Let off the throttle and it will shift but not accelerate rapidly. In park the truck revs up fine. No tuner or chip in right now. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dave

Also tach works fine so don't think it's the cps.

Check the air filter to see if it is clogged. It shouldn't be defueling since it is making smoke, That makes me think not enough air.

Unplug the EBPV valve. The plug is under the turbo inlet, 2 wire. I wiil keep thinking and post back but here you go...

My bet is the EBPV is stuck. If unplugging it doesn't work then you can go to the plunger and open it up and wire it open.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to clean the FPR screen but I don't think it could affect it that much and all of a sudden.

IS there enough oil? and is it in good shape. Sorry for the Duh questions just trying to isolate the easy ones. You may want to check the EBPV to be sure that it didn't close on you manually. just a thought

there are 2 connectors in the fuel pedal, one is TPS and other the IVS that you should check.

Unplug the electrical connector of the MAP sensor (gray sensor on top of the A/C box with electrical connector and rubber hose going to it) and drive it. If it drives better you need a MAP sensor

Yes it could be bad with those symptoms. They run about $150 last time I checked. Just unplug the connector and drive it. If it gets better you need a new sensor.

blue smoke and no accell says o-ring is busted to me. while in park or neutral put the go pedal on the floor. if it runs right up to the limiter then they are most likely fine. my guess is it will rev quick and smooth to 1800-1900 then stumble pop and smoke really bad to about 2700-2800 then spin up to 3400 smooth.

I want to thank everyone for all their help and suggestions. I've been away from the site for awhile due to some health problems. I'm glad to see the brotherhood is still alive and well. A special thanks to TJBEGGS for hitting it outta the park. It was the the map sensor. Thanks again to all.

Dave
