I have the back window of my 2003 Ford Expedition stuck down. It worked very intermittently before, and my daughter rolled it down and now I cannot get it up by the door or the drivers door main panel. In actuality the only window that works is the driver door. The others are all stuck (only the one stuck down). Any suggestions?
probably a bad window switch. one day my drivers went down, but wouldnt come back up. eventually, hitting the switch enough, it did. i replced the switch, and no problems since.
Work the switches both on the door with the problem and the drivers numerous times with effort. If you manage to get it up, you need to replace the switch cluster on the drivers door. Check ebay, there are many of them.
I had the same problem with my old jeep grand cherokee. What I did till I got a new switch was open up the door and apply voltage right to the motor to get it up just an idea.
I'd consider the motor being bad if it was only one window. But what are the chances that 3 of the 4 window motors would be bad?
I'm voting for the switch cluster on the driver's door. Like badltl510 said, you should be able to apply voltage right to the motor and get the window closed till you can get a new switch. Once you do get it closed, hit the window lock button so noone can accidentally put their window down.
