I wasn't going to post but reading all this is really gettin to me. I placed my order a little over a week or so ago with Dennis. Ordered some gauges at the same time, but they are back ordered. Dennis tried to send the dp, I told him to just wait and send it all together since I'm doin the bracket mount on the pillar. By the way, Dennis is just as great to work with as Diane and Jody, in my opinion. He has kept me informed this whole time and made offers and suggestions to try and fill my requests. I'm just holdin out for the dipricol's.
Changine, chit, i,m getting the 120 and 140...Originally Posted by big poppa pump

You are corect Dave, Dennis is one of the good guys to deal with.
Thanks everybody, really looking forward to it. Appreciate the heads up on the 140 Brandon. I,m glad i got a hold of them in time. I'll just take it easy till i get an upgrade to the trans
I drove around today in 120 with you in mind Mike....and here's what my results are. The 120 is just barely more responsive in the bottom end then the 80e, but the shifting is what I noticed is the difference. I prefer the shifting qualities in 120 better, and that same shifting pattern is also in the 140 tune. I have talked to Jody about what I want to do, and I'll be able to change my 80e to how I like it, it's really only 1 gear's shift that I'm not happy with...but we'll be able to fine tune it that much with the F6! Any tune he has.......we'll be able to get.

No....the 120 race is just slightly more responsive then 80e. The gear I'm referring to is 4th. When I'm in OD in 80E, and I gas it enough to downshift.......when it goes back into OD, it SLAMS into it. There is something in the shift pattern I don't like. Jody said it can be fine tuned any way I want it to......even use the shifting qualities from 140 in 80. I remember a post from Kris wayyy back where he had a similar problem (shifting in 80) not sure if his was the same way as mine or not though. Who knows when I'll get around to buying the F6 anyways, still awaiting the "upgrades" for the F5.....no word yet on what those will be!
Well, i'll let you know how mine does for sure. Like i said to Jody, i didn't like the smooth shifting like in stock but not banging either. When my truck had about 28,000 i thought i had a problem the way it shifted. They ran a scan and said everything was fine. I ran a trip to VA. with the family and TT and the trans was in and out of gear, searching, eating up fuel, terrible. So i got the SC and it helped alot but i was telling him about my concern, when i hit the go pedal, i want it to go and he said no problem. I'll let you know how my 80 econo works out.
Wow, I can't believe you finally took the plunge, but sure am glad you did. I know how hard it was for me to sit back and read all the post about those tuners and I couldn't have one. Since I got one, I know what all the talk was about. Sounds like you got what you need, but the 140 smoke is not necessary,,,, well, unless you want to have fun, Smoke A-holes, ricers, dumb-a's and other deserving undocumented workers polluting our streets, then and only then it would be considered necessary.
