Need a throttle cable for a 65 F100, 352, 3 spd. Obsolete ford parts- discontinued. Mac's antique auto parts- discontinued. Having computer probs, borrowed one for a sec to post this. Blue oval truck parts maybe?
I have the correct throttle cable off of a recently parted truck, it is NOT perfect as the nylon on the carb end is broken, BUT it is a fully free and functional cable with no drag or hangup whatsoever.
If you are interested in it, let me know as I will be scouring local yards this weekend and seeing what I can come up with.
I am interested. That part is ok on mine, can that end be swapped out? I have already put one in it a few years back, it was 50 bucks then, now I can't even find one. If you tell me what you want for it then include shipping, I'll get a money order for the grand total and send it to you. Kinda crappy setup on the truck in stock form. The cable comes from the firewall right behind the valve cover. I have been pondering how to modify this for awhille now. Thanks!
Also- thankyou to daveengelson too! As I said borrowed computer so I didn't have the time to look. I may end up looking into that lokar setup eventually though. Four trucks to work on, the 65 is just the most reliable. (Less crap to break!)
Dont waste your time buying a used one! I used the Lokar UT1000 and it was VERY easy to make it work, cost less than 50.00 bucks and it's Brand NEW!!! Works very smooth!!!
When i bought my truck, the only thing broke was the inner cable case(the little white part) lasted 6 months before it was done!
IMO Buy New!
