So while picking up an EGR assembly for the Sable I passed by some 70's Ford trucks and saw one with a 360 in the Pick & Pull. Still had it's fuel line so I grabbed it to put on my truck. Well it leaks fuel just like my original does only a little slower. Makes me wonder about the outlet on the brand new fuel pump even though both thread in smoothly. So now another thing to ponder about which way to go as another (new) line could just as easily leak...
Is your line an all steel line between the carb and f/pump ??? If so, there are places that can make up new lines...they do these things on a cnc type setup...Ive not used myself, but I havent heard anything negative about any of them either.
Yes, both lines are steel and the original didn't leak on the old fuel pump that was on the engine. Simply got a new fuel pump with the filter cannister, to be period correct, yet leak fuel right out the bottom connection.

Did you use any pipe tape on the threads? That should prevent any leaks. Just be careful not to put it on the first 2 threads.
