I enjoy the enthusiasm of the little kids at the door, and helping my kids when they were little choose their costume. You would think it was of great import. You gotta have whatever superhero is hot at the time. When I was small, I cannot remember EVER getting a store bought costume. We had to make our own outta whatever crap we could find around the house.
Dad ate the best candy anyway. Something about "testing" it for safety. I think he was just glomming onto it.
So we shovel out the candy each year. But I get tired of the teenagers on the porch. Hell, go get a haircut and then get a job kid!
