I just got a new to me 2000 F350 PSD Lariat, CC, with a few mods done by the previous owner. Has the Edge/Attitude setup with a nonfunctioning EGT probe . I'd post pictures if I could, but apparantly I'm not allowed to post attachments.
I'm thinking about exhaust systems. Are the aftermarket performance systems a lot louder inside the cab? Do those of you with 4" and 5" systems feel worn down by the noise after long trips? Thanks.
Got the 4" MBRP system with muffler and no exhaust drone at all in my crew cab.
Welcome to the site. If you set up a photo gallery in your user tools, you can post pictures there and link the attachments to thread using the thread tools.
I also have the MBRP. There is no difference in noise inside the cab compared to when I had the stock exhaust.
Yes it is possible to get extra noise inside the cab. 1) Install the muffler backwards, and 2) Position the downpipe incorrectly where the midpipe rubs against the transmission cross member. Do either one of those two and you'll hear it.
I have the 3.5" Aeroturbine Muffler, pointed in the right direction..There is a little more sound in the cab at certain RPM's then stock..But nothing at all to complain about..
No troubles with my 4" duals (still with muffler) and in-cab noise, but my 6637 makes some racket in the cab (loud, low droning sound). A cold air setup is supposed to fix it, but I haven't got around to building one yet.
