Intercooler difference.... cat vs non cat

Intercooler difference.... cat vs non cat
I went onto car-part.com looking for a intercooler for 2002 7.3 diesel, and it asked me if the truck had a catalytic convertor or not. I was at a salvage yard and they had one from a non cat truck, and also one from a cat truck and I could not see any differences. However, when I called a cooling supplier and asked for a new replacement, they didn't ask me and said they omly showed one listing for that application. Does anybody know what the differences are if any?
