Engine has started dying when taking foot off pedal to slow for a turn. Always in a bad spot. I pull over and it starts right away only to do it again later.

I have a 2000 F350 4x4 DUALLY 4-door 7.3 PS.

Any ideas?

 

Ever changed out the CPS? Does it ever buck while driving?

 

Are you getting any codes? Is this happening only when turning? The first thing that comes to mind is CPS.

 

I just heard there is a recall on that switch. I will take it to Ford in the morning. Thanks for the replies. I'll let you know if resolved.

 

I,m also thinking the same as mentioned above. Mine would cut out and die shortly after startup, maybe a mile or so down the road. Come to think about it, i was always making a slight turn on the road as well. CPS for me...If under 100,000 miles, its good for the warranty. Slow typing again.
