1996 4.9L pre cat
ok so i have a 96 with the 4.9 i have a cat code and bank 1 + 2 too lean codes on my truck i used a non fouler on the o2 sensor on the cat and got rid of the code but monitor wont turn on as well as the blockage from the cat are pushing gasses into my intake to give me the lean codes
my question is i have the 2 into one pre cat and then the actual cat with the o2 on it if i remove the pre cat will i throw a code?

i had a guy that owned a truck like mine tell me that the exhaust gas is pushing into the intake giving me the lean codes p0171, p0174 and he said as for the other two codes i needed a cat and that in the process i could delete the pre cat with a straight pipe seeing how i have 2 o2 sensors b4 it and 1 after on the cat. I just dont know so i figured i'd ask and see what everyone has to say
