My day was pretty good actually. Put the front end back on the 99, removed the fuel system (damn aeromotive pump is big as my leg!) and pushed it out, brought in the gray truck got the motor out, it was a productive day. I was so excited to see the carnage...

Yeah thats pure coolant, there was about 5 gallons of "stuff" that came out, first water, then oil.

Kris you defiantly had some serious damage. Was that shrapnel soup in your oil pan. I'll I have to say is WOW. Your red truck built motor should handle more, but blow up even more spectacular....but lets hope it doesn't happen soon.

I especially like the handful of parts. That thing went out big time. I saw a blown 6.0 at the dealer one day and it only had a small hole in the side. Yours looks like a dang grenade got dropped in the oil pan!

That was about half of the stuff i found in the oil pan, along with that part of a piston, the rest of the piston, it's wristpin and clips, the oil jet and parts of rods and block! Also some parts even i couldn't identify!

I might make a table out of it with a glass top and put it in my house one day, and look back and say "Ha yeah remember when i was a young kid and blew up the motor in my first truck, ahh what memories"

Nice man. My employee took my old downpipe, cut it and welded it to his work cart, and it's now an elevated beer holder. Works great for when your way under the truck, and the beers almost out of reach. That downpipe will get in there everytime!
