A few nights ago,I noticed that someone's light's were flickering as we were driving down the freeway and after some of the traffic thinned,I figgered they were mine. They did it for a bit and then when I slowed down,it stopped. The last two nights, when I was out also on the freeway and above 35, I noticed it again and thot it mught be that the driving lamps were loose ,so I turned them out and it was still happening and I noticed that the dash lights were sort of doing it too. There is no fluctuation in the voltage indicator and I can't seem to get them to do it when the car isn't moving..(I gave it a bunch of hip-shots while the DW watched, really scientific testing) Help!!!!!
Voltage regulator on the alternator is going bad. It will likely last a long time like this, seen em go years like this. I would go ahead and replace it for piece of mind though, electronics kinda go bad whenever they're in the mood it seems lol.
If your tight on $ I honestly think it can wait. More then likely your only symptom will be the flickering lights. Its a more common problem that gets ignored usually then you think I bet.
