I had thought I had noticed that my back lights on my dash would flicker some. When I installed my gauges on the "A" pillar I really noticed that they would flicker. It doesn't do it a lot. They don't go out completely, just dim a little. Kind of annoying. But would like to solve the problem. Battery light does not come on, it is charging great.
Have you tried adjusting the variable dash light switch.. Sometimes they don't make complete contact and you will get flickering..
I would suggest buying a digital voltage meter and you can monitor any small voltage change.. if you have a shorting condition going on somewhere.. I use: Amazon.com: Vector VEC008 Digital LCD Voltmeter, 12 Volt: Automotive
( it is also great for monitoring the glow plug system..and charging system. I just leave it plugged in all the time)
