John did you run a vent on yours? From your article theres about 3" from the tank neck to the bed so i think theres enough there to run a vent hose from the neck hose.

my tank is in the corner...not in the truck.... go back and pull the article from my homepage and look at the bottom... Quinn Bergman did a nice job on the vent situation and let me add it to the article... this is what I plan to do also..

at the end of the article there is apicture of a tank in front of a red f-2 showing the filler neck and the vent fittings... you might have an old copy of the article...try this one
I got the 70 Mustang 22gal. tank I just used a vented cap so far I haven't had any problems I've had in it in for about three years. However you have to keep an eye on the cap to make sure the vent hole doesn't rust up and get obstructed.
