play in steering wheel!?!?

hey guys, i have a 1995 f250 and it has alot of play in the wheel. its tilt steering but its not the tilt its the wheel itself. and the horn or cruise wont work unless i push the wheel up, not tilt up, push it forward and it moves like an inch. i can move it about an inch up down left and right. help me plz!!

by your description it seems that the whole column is moving correct?

no, the part with the turn signal and ignition dosent move just the wheel.

it sounds like the upper column bearing is shot.

yup that sounds right-just pull one at the junk yard and swap it out
