tailgate trim removal
Ive got a blk 96 350 and it has that ugly ford aluminum peice on it. It just doesnt look right on a black 350. how do i get it off. if i take it off are their holes under it or will it just look like a tailgate without it.

If the aluminum piece is in good shape it will command good $$ in resale, these were $500+ to buy retail... before they were discontinued.
The panel is bolted through the tailgate in 6 or 8 placed across it's width and at the outer edges, so if you remove it there will be holes in the sheetmetal underneath.
