I got "temporarily detained" in some loose sand yesterday. As soon as the rear wheel(s) started spinning, the back end started jumping up and down like it was nuts . foward and reverse. Is this axle/spring wrap? I had this before the RAS too, that doesn't seem to make any difference.
One of the terrific side-benefits of installing them
is that they eliminate axle-hop in deep sand, without
compromising ground clearance like traction bars do.
And of course T-bars do nothing as far as eliminating
wander/sway and vagueness/sloppy handling.
RR's fix a bunch things at once, shoulda been
original equipment.

I've got RAS. This has also happened before the RAS and tire change. I guess what I'm wondering most is if it is normal for the EX's sissy springs or if mine are especially weak. I'm wondering if I need to add-a-leaf to supplement the RAS or change the whole rear spring pack...
When I get my rear end a spinning...I simply engage my front!
I have an open rear differential and am more prone than a limited slip rear axle to getting stuck...but I've also got a 4x4.
I'm with Monsta...depending on the hole...that could have simply been your issue.
heck a fellow FTE'r that came to the Gatlinburg rally last summer was out on the OBX with is Ex (4x4) and got stuck even though he aired down his tires...thankfully another blue oval bro pulled him out!
So I'm not so sure any add on device would help you out in ALL situations...even 4x4...if the situation is just WRONG...you are stuck and you will likely get wheel hop until you are unstuck...just my thoughts...
