Should be the correct one. Just remember there are 157T and 164T 28 oz. flywheels. So just make sure your starter meshes correctly. Come to think of it, I think the 157T was on early Mustangs.
Yes the 289,302 and 351W & 351C have the same 28.2oz flywheel. Be careful though, because somewhere around '79 or '80 the balance weight changed to 50 oz.
If you get a late model flywheel (50 oz.), then you need a late model harmonic balancer.

Check in the small block forum on this site. As far as I know the 302 is externally balanced, so the crank doesn't have a balance to it like the 300 inline six.
Use the 28oz flywheel from a 289,302, or 351W/C and you should be fine. I was just pointing out that the later flywheels used a 50 oz balance on the flywheel and to be carefull of that. The 50 oz flywheels have their own matching harmonic balancer that must be used them. The same goes for the 28 oz. flywheels.
